Job function

  • Provide L2/L3 remote 24/7 IT support on Windows 2008/2003/2000 Servers
  • Remote Management & Monitoring
  • Providing technical support to manage Windows 2003 Active Directory forest infrastructure
  • Collaboration on cross-team and cross product technical issues by working with resources from other groups as needed to resolve customer issues
  • Incident Management done by handling tickets/calls for any kind of Server issues

  • System Administration in Linux and Sun Solaris domain.
  • Troubleshooting, Configuring and installation of Linux
  • Managing Users & Groups, setting up files & folders permissions, user quota & group quota, mounting / unmounting file systems, cron jobs scheduling.
  • Knowledge in network monitoring tools like nagios and mrtg.
  • Configuring Key-Based Authentication for ssh,scp and sftp.
  • Installation of Linux through NFS & Kick starts method.
  • Securing Linux server with iptables.
  • Knowledge of Red Hat Package Manager (RPM).
  • Installation and configuration of DNS, DHCP, NFS, NIS, HTTP and LDAP servers.
  • Configuring Samba server as file server.
  • Configuring Apache Web server creating domain based virtual hosting and authenticating the HTTP users with htpasswd.
  • LVM – PV, VG LV creating and extending.
